Unreal Finance is a decentralized protocol allowing users to tokenize the yield generated by popular lending protocols such as Compound, Aave, and Unilend. Users can lock in their interest rate by tokenizing their yield, thus getting a fixed interest rate. It acts as a secondary market for unrealized yields. The idea stems from the frustration experienced by yield farmers when the yield interest rate drops. The high net worth individuals are okay with high fluctuations in interest rate, but retail lender is uncomfortable with such fluctuations. And that’s where Unreal Finance comes in - by tokenizing the yield; a user can lock in their interest rate.

Unreal finance tokens can also help users with interest rate swaps, allowing traders to arbitrage between multiple lending markets, making the market more stable and generating more yield. The tokens can further be used for governance. The protocol will be governed by its token holders through proposals to ensure adjustments to the protocol are made with a majority consensus.

They are on track to redefine Defi by allowing the creation of new products on top, like yield insurance that allows people to deposit and buy minimum yield guarantee. Currently, no product on Ethereum allows users to speculate on yield generated by the protocol.
